My story

 

My passion has always been listening to and connecting with people, so when I discovered Social Work, I knew it was my path. This work has led me to support many different groups of people, but 10 years ago it become clear that my purpose is to help people break free from their constant thoughts of food and body shame. 

I've struggled with disordered eating and body shame and understand how painful it is. By specializing in this work, I hope to provide the education, support, and empowerment you need to heal your relationship with your body and food.

I've found healing through Intuitive Eating and weight neutrality in my own life; I’ve learned that we can leave the diet/binge/shame cycle and that body size is not an accurate measure of our health, nor our worth. Along the way I’ve also found that yoga, done gently and with care, is one way people can begin to safely reconnect with their bodies.

I want to help you untangle the web of anxiety, perfectionism, depression, eating and exercise. Let’s collaborate to find the freedom to live your life, trust yourself and heal old wounds so you can move, eat, and exist in ways that align with your values and desires.
